ABOUT
Dr. Breanna James
I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Dr. Breanna James. I am an occupational therapist, mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and a lifelong Alaskan. I founded Authentic Living, LLC in March 2021 with a mission to make occupational therapy and wellness accessible to everyone and provide services that promote authenticity and acceptance of the whole person.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage and my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in 2014. I am also LEND Fellow and taught Pilates for over five years. I have received specialty trainings and certifications in the treatment and management of chronic diseases, neuro rehabilitation, and neurodevelopmental diseases,
I have treated patients across the lifespan, in almost every healthcare setting. These settings include inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, mental health, skilled nursing, long term care, acute care, and schools. While the needs of my patients have varied greatly across settings my love and dedication for providing quality, evidenced based occupational therapy and wellness has remained.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my two sons, husband, and two crazy dogs. I enjoy coffee, running, watching TV and setting new goals for myself.
If you aren’t quite sure what occupational therapy is, that’s OK! I often joke that occupational therapy is the treatment that many people are looking for but don’t know what it’s called or even know it exists. Please reach out if you have questions about the services I provide or would like to added to my waitlist.
